A Day Trip to The Lake District

The Lake District sits proudly in the North of England, with many small villages and countryside to explore. This day trip to The Lake District will consist of two stops. Your dedicated coach driver will transport you from Manchester Central Convention Centre taking you to your first destination of Lowther Castle and Gardens where you will be free to explore the castle, gardens and exhibition at your leisure. There is also a café in the grounds where you can have lunch.

The coach will then depart The Lowther Castle and Gardens after lunch, heading south to the town of Bowness-on-Windermere. Where you will be dropped off near the Bowness Bay, where you can explore the pier, the local shops and even pay a visit The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction which is only a 5 minute walk from the bay.

This day trip is self guided and the cost includes transport to The Lake District from Manchester with a return and your entry ticket into The Lowther Castle and Gardens. Please note no food or refreshments are included in your ticket price.

Some attractions in Bowness-on-Windermere may charge an entry fee. These fees are not included in your ticket your price.

The Lake District is approximately 2 hours from Manchester by coach.

The coach from Manchester Central will depart at 8.00am arriving at The Lowther Castle and Gardens approximately 10.00am-10.30am. The coach will depart The Lowther Castle and Gardens after lunch at 1.00pm arriving in Windermere for approximately 2.00pm. The coach will depart Windermere at 4.30pm arriving back in Manchester for approximately 6.00pm-6.30pm.

This self guided, multi stop day trip is £62 per person.
