One of the best ways to learn about a city is through its food and drink. Take a gastronomic adventure to sample some of the best food and drink the city has to offer and learn an insight into the city’s past, present and future. Manchester’s food and drink scene is booming.
The tour will reveal fascinating facts about Manchester and England’s food history, touch on food science and take in some magnificent local food along the way.
Multiple tastings are offered throughout the city, taking you to some of our favourite local specialities. You’ll sample many of the local hidden gems, including restaurants and street food vendors, from the ice cream vendors of Ancoat’s Little Italy and the diet of the Victorian mill worker to the birth of vegetarianism.
Tour starts at 11am at the Manchester Craft and Design Centre and ends in Manchester City at approximately 2.30pm.
